About Best of Bol
Best of Bol is a local guide to Bol and Murvica on the island of Brač, Croatia. In every category we name the one place we recommend, explain why, and keep the facts, the weather and the travel times checked and dated.
What we do
Most travel sites list everything. We do the opposite: in each category we pick one place and stand behind it. Every business we pick is owned by a local family who live on Brač all year round, so booking with them supports the island's own economy and the people who keep Bol alive through the winter. Each pick has its own page with the facts you need to choose and book, taken from the business's own information, and the date we last checked them.
The picks also appear where you need them in our Bol guide and Murvica guide, so you meet our choice for dinner, a boat trip or a windsurf lesson at the moment you are deciding.
Who we are
Best of Bol is made by a local family in Bol, the same family that runs Apartments Kristian and Villa Bila.

Keeping it up to date
- Ferry, catamaran and bus times are copied from each operator's own timetable and checked every week.
- The weather at the top of every page comes from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute's forecast for Bol and refreshes every half hour.
- Picks are re-checked every spring before the season.
- Every page shows the date it was last checked.
